Are you looking for a unique leadership opportunity?

Have you been yearning to put your talent(s) whether they be in strategic thinking, financial forecasting, organizational behavior, project management, and so on into service for a great cause? 

Well, look no further!  If you are committed to the education of students especially special needs children, we are looking for you! 

The Valley Day School Board of Director’s are looking for leaders like you to join our Board of Directors.

The Valley Day School was founded in 1958, our volunteer board has been the strategic heart of our organization, ensuring that in our work to educate our students we deliver real results and respond to changes in the education of the total child. 

If you are willing to share your talent(s) to help us continue to offer an excellent education experience for our students, we’d like to talk to you:  

Whether you are an educator, parent, administrator, community business partner, lawyer, caregiver, or whatever your talent may be that you would be willing to share with us, we would like to hear from you.

If you believe that your talent(s) could assist us in forming the programs to educate special needs students, or to assist us with the daily operations of the school in a variety of other ways, we would like to hear from you.

If you hold yourself to high expectations, then you’ll find board service very rewarding.

We are looking for individuals who will:

·       Attend most of our twelve board meetings annually

·       Actively serve on at least one of our committees: Education, Finance, Building and Grounds, Technology, Personnel, and Governance

·       Advocate for our needs in the local community, state and federal governments, as well as among colleagues and peers

·       Be always curious to learn more about the field of educating children with special needs as well as nonprofit governance

·       Make a personal contribution of your valuable time and talent to the Valley Day School, to the best of your ability
