Mission Statement
Valley Day School is a private, non-profit, state-funded, special education school licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for students who are experiencing learning and/or adjustment difficulties.
Valley Day School serves children and young adults with behavioral, learning/developmental, and/or emotional problems, many of whom have serious learning difficulties and very challenging behaviors.
Valley Day School's educational program is based on our belief that each student possesses unique needs and strengths. An educational program that is individually prescribed for each student meets these needs. A multidisciplinary team approach coordinating knowledge and skills is used to assist students in reaching their greatest potential.
""Teaching Students the Tools for a Healthy Life""
The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week & 365 days a year.
Safe2Say Something (S2SS) is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches young people and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially on social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to "say something" BEFORE it is too late.
